Located 12 km from St Germain, Aubenas, a charming medieval town, will seduce you by going to the market on Saturday morning.

 You can walk through its pedestrian streets and visit its castle. The latter, topped by its pretty slate roof dotted with coloured tiles, gives the impression of being covered in confetti and embellishes this building begun in the early 12th century.

From the courtyard of the castle you can admire the landscape and see the nearby mountains, the Escrinet pass, pretty villages and of course the Ardèche river flowing through the valley.
