Grotte Chauvet 2
Grotte Chauvet:
Located at the beginning of the Ardèche gorges, near the Pont d'arc, the real Chauvet cave overlooks the gorges.
This ornate cave, from the Upper Paleolithic period, has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2014. This site contains a thousand paintings and engravings which are among the oldest in the world. It is a preserved site dedicated to research and cannot be visited.
Grotte Chauvet 2:
Also a replica of the Chauvet cave has been made: the Chauvet 2 cave.
The largest replica of a cave in the world, this site reconstructs ancient cave paintings dating back more than 36,000 years.
Thanks to this more than realistic reconstruction, you will immerse yourself in prehistory and discover the way of life of our ancestors of the Paleolithic era.
